I took Dad today out on Chapman’s Peak Drive, down past Noordhoek and then back over the Tokai and to Constantia for lunch. It wasn’t a great day weather-wise, but the clouds added to the mood in this photo of the Sentinel peak, on the West end of Hout Bay.

Clouds on Christmas Day. We went to Charlotte’s for the evening for dinner. These clouds were amazing. They were so thick and completely covered the mountain they were falling down.

We took James to the bottom station of the Table Mountain cableway to look at the view over Cape Town. I likes this view more and the photo did it justice. The peak is Lion’s Head.

James arrived today, and we went out to Cape Town with Charlotte to a small bar/restaurant called Cafe Vespa. We sat and chatted under Table Mountain and I had to take a photo, even if it is not the greatest shot

The new roof is getting there, and the thatch is almost complete. This shot is taken from a new view that we will have when the renovation is done, looking Northwards to the back of Table Mountain.

This morning was spent on Llandudno beach where India’s creche were having an outing. It was great to lay on the sand and watch the surfers while knowing that it must be cold and miserable for friends and family in Europe.

Today I went for a drive around Hout Bay to take photos as I hadn’t taken any for a few days (hence no posts!). I had fun finding spots and objects to shoot and took some nice photos. Here is one of a couple sitting at Hout Bay beach admiring the lovely view.

This is Greenpoint. The stadium is Greenpoint Stadium, used for many events, but maybe most prominently as Cape Town’s biggest football stadium – when there are big games for Cape Town teams, they normally play here. Behind is the Metropolitan Golf Course, on which the new World Cup 2010 football stadium will be built. It looks as though the current stadium will either be kept as is or demolished for another purpose.
